On 16th August 2025, the Atacama Consulting Foundation—the social impact arm of Atacama Consulting 🍃👷🏾♀️🦺—lit up hearts and futures during its Second University Scholarship Award Ceremony. Held under the banner of its transformative Education Initiative, the event was more than just a celebration—it was a lifeline.

For many students, the scholarship felt like a miracle. Dreams once dimmed by financial hardship were revived with renewed purpose. Tears of joy flowed freely as young scholars embraced the chance to pursue higher education, some calling it “a revival of lost hope.”

Parents and guardians, many of whom have weathered years of struggle, expressed heartfelt gratitude. “You’ve put smiles on our faces,” one mother said, “and opened doors we thought were forever closed.”

The Foundation’s commitment to empowering youth through education continues to ripple across communities—turning obstacles into opportunities, and aspirations into achievements.

This year’s awarded students hail from Uganda’s four major regions—North, East, West, and Central—reflecting the Foundation’s inclusive vision for national transformation. They are enrolled at our esteemed Partner Universities: Makerere University, Kyambogo University, Busitema University , Ndejje University, and Gulu University(UG), pursuing undergraduate degrees in Environmental Sciences.

Their academic journey is more than personal advancement—it’s a strategic investment in Uganda’s future. These scholars will be equipped to tackle environmental challenges, promote sustainable development, and lead community-driven climate action across the country.
