An accomplished professional development expert with over 25 years’ experience managing organizations at both national and regional levels in Africa, Dr. Daisy Owomugasho is the Executive Director Atacama Consulting Foundation, a Public Charitable Trust. Previously she served as the Regional Director for The Hunger Project in East Africa, and Country Director Uganda. Before that, she was a Lecturer at Makerere University, Kampala. She has also worked as Executive Director at the African Women’s Economic Policy Network, a Pan-African regional organization, and Uganda Debt Network, a policy advocacy organization. She previously as served as the Secretary, on the CIVICUS Board of Directors. She also serves on several local Boards, and is a member of the Facilitation Group for Action for Sustainable Development as Sub Saharan Africa Representative.

Dr. Daisy has a PhD in Economics from Makerere University, a Master’s Degree in Development Economics from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada and a B.A. Degree in Economics from Makerere University.
