Who we are ?
Atacama Consulting Foundation (ACF) is the social impact arm of Atacama Consulting, an environmental and social consultancy firm based in Uganda. ACF was registered with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) on 14th June 2023 and is formally recognized as a Public Charitable Trust under the Ministry of Lands, Housing, and Urban Development, effective 1st December 2025. The Foundation is committed to transforming communities through innovative and sustainable solutions across four key focus areas: Education, Health, Waste Management, and Community-based Natural Resource Management.
In addressing these four areas, the Foundation identifies community needs and collaborates with various stakeholders, including local communities, academia, government entities, the private sector, international agencies, and other partners to address challenges and bridge existing gaps.
Our Mission
To blend innovation with purpose, through education scholarships, solarisation of health centres, community-based natural resource management, circular economy waste management, and raising awareness on environmental issues to facilitate sustainable development.
Our Vision
ACF envisions poverty-free communities achieved through the support of education, renewable energy, sustainable practices in waste management and natural resource stewardship.
Our Purpose
Atacama Consulting Foundation is a forward-thinking organisation committed to shaping the future of our communities through groundbreaking sustainable solutions in the areas of education, health, waste management, and community-based natural resource management. The Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness, implementing impactful projects, and advocating for initiatives that promote environmental conservation, protection, and sustainability. The Foundation supports education and empowering individuals through the provision of scholarships, to break down barriers and create a more equitable society.
ACF actively supports initiatives such as community based natural resource management to boost productivity and efficiency in agriculture, and thereby contributing to economic growth in communities. Through collaboration with stakeholders, government agencies, and other NGOs, ACF works towards creating a world where nature and humanity can coexist harmoniously. We believe that together, we can make a lasting impact on the environment and ensure a brighter future for all.
